How often should I wax my skis or snowboard?
Truth is, it depends on how often you ski and the type of snow you ski on. Regular waxing keeps your skis fast, smooth and protected, ensuring you get the most out of every run.
Signs your skis/board need waxing
The base looks dry or white, especially near the edges.
Your skis feel slow or sticky in the snow.
OK, but how often should I get my skis/board waxed?
Frequent Skiers/Boarders (10+ days per season):
Wax every 4-6 days on snow.
On abrasive, icy or artificial snow, wax every 2-3 days on snow.
Occasional Skiers/Boarders (fewer than 10 days per season):
Wax at least once per season, ideally before your first trip.
Consider a mid-season wax if skiing multiple days in a row.
Performance-Oriented Skiers/Boarders:
Wax before every outing for maximum speed and performance. (We can also wax for specific snow temperatures to really dial it in.)
Whenever you need a wax, we’ll pick up your skis and have them back in just two days. Go ahead, schedule a tune .
